ATLAS observes first entangled qutrits from Higgs decay
Scientists from the ATLAS collaboration at CERN have for the first time recorded quantum entanglement between Z bosons produced in Higgs boson decay. This is the first observation of entanglement in elementary qutrits—three-state quantum systems; significance is 4.7 sigma based on 400 collision events.
