44,897 Printers Expose Raw Print Port 9100 on the Open Internet

A ZoomEye scan collected on 22 September 2026 found 44,897 devices with port 9100 (raw print/JetDirect) exposed, versus 314 on IPP (631) and 299 on SNMP (161). The raw print port is enabled by default and requires no authentication, making printers widely reachable from the internet.

• Port 9100 is open on 44,897 devices — over 140x more than IPP on port 631
• Raw print requires no authentication or encryption and is on by default
• SNMP on port 161 is exposed on 299 devices, more often filtered
• Exposed printers may store documents, address books and scan credentials
