Sony FX5 cinema camera delayed until at least end of October

Sony has pushed the release of its FX5 professional cinema camera from August 21 to "the end of October" due to production issues. Accessories DVF-EL1, XLR-H2 and VMC-BNCU1 are delayed as well, and US pre-orders remain unfulfilled.

• FX5 was announced July 22 with an August 21 release date
• New shipping window is "from the end of October", a delay of over two months
• Sony cites only "production reasons" and has not explained further
• Accessories DVF-EL1, XLR-H2 and VMC-BNCU1 are also postponed
