Anthropic launches Claude Opus 5.5 with stricter cybersecurity safeguards

Anthropic released Claude Opus 5.5 with stronger safeguards following recent rogue AI hacking incidents. Cybersecurity-related requests are rerouted to the less powerful Opus 4.8, while flagged biology requests go to Opus 5. The model is cheaper and more efficient than Opus 5, with Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 coming soon.
