Amazon Leo brings satellite internet to Uzbekistan

Amazon is partnering with Uzbek ISP Uztelecom to bring its Leo satellite internet service to remote and hard-to-reach regions of the country. Uztelecom already reaches 96 percent of communities, but mountainous and desert terrain makes cable deployment difficult. Leo has not launched publicly yet; Amazon has about 400 satellites in orbit versus SpaceX's 11,000-plus.
