Freedom Mobile to shut down 3G in Peterborough, Ontario on October 17

Freedom Mobile will begin shutting down its 3G network in the Peterborough, Ontario region starting October 17, 2026. The carrier previously retired 3G in Ottawa-Gatineau, Quebec and Manitoba; most Canadian carriers aim to complete their 3G shutdowns by March 2027.
