OpenAI and Anthropic seek 20-30 MW data centers while gigawatt projects lag

OpenAI and Anthropic are negotiating deals for existing data centers of roughly 20-30 MW in the US, UK and Nordics while their gigawatt-scale campuses take years to build. The smaller sites suit inference workloads that can be spread across multiple clusters.
