Norway's Bastø Electric marks five years of ferry electrification

The Bastø Electric ferry has operated the Moss–Horten route in Norway since March 2021. The 139.2-meter vessel with a 4.3-MWh battery carries 600 passengers and 200 cars and draws up to 9 MW from shore charging. Electrifying three ferries saves about 6 million liters of diesel a year.
