Huawei Ascend 960 SuperPoD targets 15,488 chips and 10-trillion-parameter models
Huawei detailed its Ascend 960 roadmap: the Atlas 960 SuperPoD scales to 15,488 processors with 30 EFLOPS FP8 and 60 EFLOPS FP4 at 34 PB/s interconnect bandwidth. The Atlas 960E variant links up to 4,096 NPUs via UnifiedBus and Hi-ONE optics, supporting models with up to 10 trillion parameters.
- Atlas 960 SuperPoD scales to 15,488 Ascend 960 chips and 4,460 TB of memory
- 30 EFLOPS FP8 and 60 EFLOPS FP4, training up to 15.9 million tokens per second
- Atlas 960E: 4,096 NPUs, 8 EFLOPS FP8, about 5,500 Hi-ONE units instead of 48,000 optics
- Ascend 960DT arrives in Q1 2027, 960PR in Q3 2027
