Perplexity brings its local AI agent Portable Computer to Windows

Perplexity has launched Portable Computer for Windows, running its local-first AI agent on Nvidia RTX PCs with at least 24GB of VRAM. The local model is PPLX 27B, and cloud escalation to Perplexity Search or 15+ cloud models requires user approval.

• Local work does not consume Perplexity Computer credits
