Activision Says Game Cheating Is Now an $8.5 Billion Industry
Activision published data on the scale of cheating: account sales, boosting and spoofing services generate about $8.5 billion a year. Cheat subscriptions across 15 games bring in roughly $3.5 billion. The company blocked 375 resellers, sent 80 cease-and-desist demands and shut down 31 major cheat providers.
