Apple Circumvented Battery Shipping Restrictions for iPhone 18 Pro Max

Apple added a software charge limit below 20 Wh to the iPhone 18 Pro Max to bypass lithium battery shipping rules. After first power-on, the limit is removed, unlocking full capacity of 5567 mAh (21.75 Wh) in the US version and 5391 mAh (21.06 Wh) in the European version with a SIM slot.
