Meta expands parental alerts to Facebook and Meta AI

Meta will notify parents who supervise teen accounts about repeated searches for suicide or self-harm content on Facebook and potentially at-risk conversations with Meta AI. Alerts arrive via text, email, WhatsApp and push notifications but do not reveal search terms or chat contents. Similar alerts launched on Instagram earlier this year.
