Fairphone Fairbuds 2 review: lab-tested earbuds with swappable batteries

SoundGuys tested the Fairphone Fairbuds 2, true wireless earbuds with tool-free replaceable LIR 1054 batteries and IP54 protection. In standardized testing they lasted 5 hours 29 minutes with ANC on versus Fairphone's 6-hour claim, with Bluetooth 6.0, SBC/AAC/LC3/LDAC and two-device Multipoint.

• Batteries swap without tools by peeling back the silicone sleeve and opening the drawer
• Measured battery life was 5h 29m with ANC on, short of the 6-hour claim
• Bluetooth 6.0 with SBC, AAC, LC3 and LDAC, plus two-device Multipoint
• IP54 rating, 5.8 g per earbud, app offers only a 5-band EQ and basic controls
