Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition review: RTX Spark N1X runs at full speed in a 17.8mm chassis

The Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition is the first XPS built on Nvidia's RTX Spark N1X, in a 17.8mm aluminum chassis with a 3.2K Tandem OLED display, 99Wh battery and three USB4 ports. The $4,799.99 review unit with a 20-core N1X, 64GB LPDDR5X-9400 and 1TB SSD trails the HP OmniBook Ultra 16 by about 5% in multi-threaded CPU work but sustains full clocks with no throttling.

• Cinebench 2026 multi-core: 6,631 vs 7,001 on the OmniBook, holding 6,519–6,562 over a 30-minute loop
• Best single-core 564.5 and STREAM Triad 122,872MB/s among the five N1X notebooks
• Local AI: Llama 3.1 8B at 55.7 tok/s, Qwen3.8 27B at 31.9 tok/s with eight concurrent users
• Gen4 SSD reads 6,502MB/s; Gen5 drive only in the $6,999.99 128GB build
