Fortinet adds inline AI inspection to FortiGate firewalls

Fortinet launched the FortiGuard Inline AI Security Service, a cloud subscription that inspects prompts, model responses and MCP tool traffic directly on FortiGate firewalls without a separate AI security stack. The FortiAIGate engine uses technology from the August Virtue AI acquisition and can enforce model budgets and rate limits.
