Hands-on: touchscreen MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR is a well-executed bonus

Creative Bloq tested Apple's first touchscreen MacBook Pro with a PROLED XDR display, priced from $2899. Touch is pitched as an extra input option, useful for scrubbing in Final Cut Pro, playing a virtual keyboard in Logic Pro and zooming, but the trackpad remains more accurate for some tasks. Reviewers noted some hinge rebound when touching the upright screen.

• Touchscreen MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR starts at $2899
• Touch input showed no latency on Logic Pro's virtual keyboard
• Window close and minimise buttons enlarge when touched
• Hinge is reinforced but still shows noticeable rebound
