Nvidia unveils DSX and OpenShell for AI data centers at GTC Berlin
At GTC Berlin Nvidia introduced its DSX platform, which cuts cooling water use by up to 100% and power consumption by up to 30%, plus the OpenShell reference architecture for securing AI agents. CEO Jensen Huang dismissed legally enforceable AI regulation as "ridiculous."
- DSX saves up to 54 million liters of water a day in a 2GW data center deployment
- OpenShell enforces policy-based security and privacy guardrails for AI agents at the system layer
- Huang: "If anybody believes in a sustainable future, the answer is use more energy"
- OpenShell covers Anthropic, Cohere and OpenAI models, but OpenAI is absent from Nvidia's safety alliances
