Meta to buy 200,000 tons of low-carbon cement credits from Fortera

Meta has signed a multi-year deal with Fortera for environmental attribute certificates tied to about 200,000 tons of low-carbon cement, with an option to use the material in its own construction projects. The agreement is expected to help finance Fortera's plant in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; its ReAct cement is made via the ReCarb process with 70% lower CO2 emissions.
