AI models can now generate working applications from scratch in hours: Brandon Thomas of ArtCraft built the first version of open-source PhotoCraft, a Photoshop rival, in about 24 hours. Experts note such apps have far less code and often lack security controls and user authentication.
- PhotoCraft was built in about 24 hours from simple AI instructions
- WordCraft is roughly 60% ready and has 88,000 lines of code
- LibreOffice has over 7 million lines versus thousands in AI-built apps
