AIB to convert former Spartanburg cryptomine into 50MW AI data center for Nebius
AIB Data Centers plans to redevelop its shuttered Bitcoin mining site in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, into an AI data center with 50MW of IT capacity contracted to Nebius. The 12-year lease has two five-year renewal options, with 65MW of utility supply secured for 15 years and two 25MW halls targeted for Q4 2027. The project seeks an exemption from the county's one-year data center moratorium.
