Akai teases open-source 37-key MPC Sample Key

Akai is developing the MPC Sample Key, an open-source 37-key take on its budget MPC Sample with open firmware. The company gave developers early access and showed vibe-coded mods adding Massive, virtual analog and FM synths, plus a fully custom OS.

• The device will ship with open-source firmware and an SDK
