AMD shares first official benchmarks for EPYC 'Venice' CPUs, targets Nvidia

AMD published first official benchmarks for EPYC Venice server CPUs. According to the company, the 256-core flagship EPYC 9996 is 2.24 times faster than Nvidia Vera in SPEC CPU 2026 Integer Rate, and the 96-core version is about 20% faster per-core.

• 96-core Venice is 20% faster than 88-core Nvidia Vera
• 9996 is 78% faster than previous flagship EPYC 9965 (192 cores)
