Tesla confirms Vietnam entry to take on VinFast's 36% market share

Tesla has registered Tesla Motors Vietnam LLC in Ho Chi Minh City with about 77.7 billion dong (~$3 million) in charter capital and opened five roles, including a charging project developer. VinFast sold 177,697 cars in Vietnam in the first nine months of 2026, roughly 36% of the ~495,000 total market.
