FIA names AWS official AI and cloud partner for motor sport

The FIA has named Amazon Web Services its official partner for AI, cloud computing, machine learning and cloud infrastructure, covering every level of motor sport from club racing to Formula 1. AWS will help shape technical rules for the next generation of F1 cars and give FIA engineers AI tools for drafting safety, speed and sustainability regulations.

• The deal spans all levels of motor sport, from club racing to Formula 1
• The FIA already runs its aerodynamic simulations on AWS computers
• AWS developed and hosts the FIA's Digital Licensing Platform, launched in 2025
• The agreement is separate from AWS's partnership with Formula 1 since 2018
