KOSPI tops 6,000 after SK hynix earnings surprise

South Korea's KOSPI jumped 6.63% to 6,012.44 after SK hynix posted record quarterly results and announced a 100 trillion won shareholder return program. SK hynix shares rose 10.89% and Samsung Electronics gained 9.01%.
