Samsung brings improved Sleep Apnea Detection to Galaxy Ring and watches
Samsung is rolling out an improved Sleep Apnea Detection feature to the Galaxy Ring and newer Galaxy Watches. The AI algorithm classifies breathing disturbances during sleep as mild, occasional, or frequent instead of only flagging apnea signs. It launches first in South Korea in November after MFDS approval.
- Feature requires at least five hours of sleep on two nights within 10 days
- Galaxy Ring, Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 get it first in Korea
- Galaxy Watch 7, Watch Ultra, Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic follow later
- Older models keep the previous version of the feature
