Oregon Data Centers Use Almost 25% of State's Power, Report Reveals

A report by ECOnorthwest and the University of Virginia found Oregon's 111 data centers, covering 22.1 million sq ft, accounted for 23% of the state's retail electricity sales in 2025. By 2030, consumption is projected to reach ~25 TWh, or 31–32% of demand, equivalent to 2.5 million homes. Another 32 facilities are under construction or planned.
