Anthropic reports early drug development progress with Claude
Anthropic published an update on its life sciences work, reporting early results from partnerships with six drug developers including BigHat, BMS, Divergence Labs, Enveda and Generate Biomedicines. Divergence said Claude generated about 35,000 antibody designs across 22 autonomous runs, while Enveda cut manufacturing record review from 25.9 to 2.8 hours. Anthropic cautioned the work remains mostly preclinical.
- Divergence Labs: 20 of 91 IgE disruptor designs worked, three beat Xolair
- Generate Biomedicines: 186 CAR-T designs, one 70% shorter and 10x more receptors
- Enveda: batch record review cut 89%, from 25.9 to 2.8 hours
- BigHat: 1,010 antibody variants in 10 weeks, 6–9x tighter binding
