Reviewers skip Xbox builds because code access is too cumbersome

Windows Central explains why Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has no Xbox Metascore: only two critic reviews exist for the platform. Reviewers must supply their console's Device ID and wait for manual whitelisting, while Steam and PS5 codes redeem instantly.

• Modern Warfare 4 scores 89 on PlayStation and 86 on PC, while Xbox remains tbd
• Xbox review access requires a Device ID and manual publisher whitelisting
• Steam and PS5 codes redeem in one click, so critics pick those platforms
• Gears of War: E-Day drew 87 Xbox reviews versus 83 on PC
