Dell adds AI Assistant to PowerProtect for cyber resilience

Dell launched an AI Assistant for PowerProtect (formerly Data Domain) that uses RAG and external LLMs to surface risks, generate reports and guide restores, with human-in-the-loop approval for every action. Dell also added identity recovery for Active Directory, Entra ID and Okta, MDR for Identity and quantum-safe encryption in PowerStore.

• Assistant accepts text, voice and images, grounded in telemetry and Dell product knowledge
• Every action, including backups and restores, needs human approval
• PowerProtect restores AD, Entra ID and Okta to a clean, trusted state
• PowerStore adds quantum-safe in-flight encryption over Fibre Channel
