Airtel puts sovereign cloud at centre of growth strategy

Bharti Enterprises founder Sunil Mittal named sovereign cloud, AI infrastructure and data centres as key growth areas for the group. Airtel Cloud, launched by subsidiary Xtelify in August 2025, is hosted in India and offers IaaS, PaaS and connectivity, with the platform tested at 1.4 billion transactions per minute.
