Lockheed Martin to build PrSM Increment 4 missile with 1,000 km range
The US Army selected Lockheed Martin to develop and test a longer-range PrSM Increment 4 variant capable of striking targets at least 1,000 km away. The missile will use ramjet propulsion from L3Harris and launch from HIMARS and M270A2, with flight competitions set for 2027 and 2028.
- PrSM Increment 4 range is at least 1,000 km, roughly double the baseline
- L3Harris will supply ramjet propulsion; launch from HIMARS and M270A2
- Lockheed invested $300M in range technologies and $250M in sensors
- Flight competitions are planned for 2027 and 2028
