Leak: Galaxy S27+ may drop UWB radio
MIIT certification filings suggest the Galaxy S27+ will lose its Ultra-Wideband chip, which will remain only on the new Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. Without UWB, owners lose SmartTag Compass View, hands-free Digital Key and Quick Share's Point to Share.
- UWB has been in Plus models since the Galaxy S21+ in 2021
- Without UWB, SmartTag2 loses AR compass and falls back to Bluetooth
- Digital Key drops to NFC, requiring a tap on the door handle
