SAP adds governed Joule agents and tabular AI models

At its TechEd conference SAP unveiled upgrades to its Joule assistant: agents use MCP and Agent2Agent but are invoked through a governed gateway with permissions. The company also announced SAP-RPT-2.0 and SAP-RPT-TS tabular models, Apache Iceberg and Polaris support in its lakehouse, and a deployment of SAP-RPT on the ISS with HPE.
