HomeView runs CarPlay apps instead of having an App Store

Apple's new HomeView smart hub runs an iOS-based OS but has no App Store. Third-party apps work like CarPlay: they mirror from a nearby iPhone and are processed on the phone. Only compatible CarPlay audio and video apps, such as Spotify and Deezer, are supported for now.

• HomeView has no App Store but runs CarPlay apps mirrored from iPhone
• Only CarPlay audio and video apps work; messaging apps are excluded
• Safari, Music, Podcasts, Messages, Reminders and Calendar come preinstalled
• Face recognition shows different information for each user
