Tesla is building proprietary AI maps for FSD

VP of AI Ashok Elluswamy confirmed on the Q3 2026 earnings call that Tesla is developing a proprietary AI-based mapping and navigation architecture for Full Self-Driving, using fleet data and driver preferences. First features arrive in FSD v15, starting with trip endpoints before navigation and parking.
