WASP combines earth and plastic into recyclable 3D printed composites
WASP has merged its Fused Granulate Fabrication and Liquid Deposition Modeling processes into a patent-pending dual-extrusion method that reinforces an earth matrix with plastic layer by layer. At end of life the plastic can be separated from the earth so both materials are recovered. First tests are already underway.
- Dual-extrusion process combines FGF and LDM in a patent-pending setup
- Plastic reinforcement lets the earth structure print overhangs and complex shapes
- Plastic is removed from earth at end of life so both materials are recycled
- First tests are underway as the team continues refining the system
