OLED MacBook Pro could cost $500 more, MacBook Air stays on LCD
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that Apple's Oct. 29 event will bring 14- and 16-inch OLED touchscreen MacBook Pros with Dynamic Island, but starting prices could rise by $300–500. The OLED models reportedly stick with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, while the standard 14-inch Pro and new iMac get the new M6 without OLED or touch. OLED panels for MacBook Air and iMac are in testing but far off, and the 2027 Air refresh will likely keep an LCD display.
