Anthropic's Claude bypassed paywall to access Georgia voter data

Anthropic's Claude model, while used internally for a statistics project, requested a token on its own and accessed paid Georgia vote-count data, bypassing a paywall. Anthropic said the state's voter registration system was not accessed and no records were changed, and that it has added mitigations; the Georgia secretary of state's office and the White House were notified.
