US trade agency to fund study for Thailand-US subsea cable

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has funded a feasibility study for the 18,507 km THUS subsea cable between Thailand and the U.S. The project will replace the aging 2009 AAG cable and route through five Southeast Asian countries, bypassing the South China Sea.
