Polar vortices found in lead-free superlattices on silicon
A team at HZB has reported polar vortices in (BaTiO₃/SrTiO₃)₁₀ superlattices grown on silicon for the first time. The result broadens the materials and substrates that can host polar topological textures and opens options for integrating complex ferroelectric states into silicon-based technologies.
