RTX Spark beats Ryzen AI Max+ 395 by up to 3.5x in local AI tests
A Lenovo Yoga 9n with Nvidia RTX Spark N1X (64GB, $3,750) was compared with an Asus ROG Flow Z13 on Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (128GB, $3,300) running identical local AI workloads. The Spark read documents 2.1–3.5x faster and generated text 1.4–1.6x faster, while FLUX.2 images took 25.8s versus 66.3s. The gap is attributed to CUDA maturity rather than memory bandwidth.
- Prompt processing: 5,616 tok/s on Spark vs 1,589 on Z13 with gpt-oss 20B
- Generation: 69.7 tok/s vs 50.7 on Qwen3-Coder 30B
- FLUX.2 Klein 4B: 25.8s per image vs 66.3s
- On battery Spark holds 71.4 tok/s, Z13 drops 17% to 42 tok/s
