Oracle signs 1.7GW Texas wind energy supply agreements

Oracle signed wind energy supply agreements in Texas totaling more than 1.7 GW for the ERCOT grid. The power will supply its Abilene data center campus; Oracle aims to cover 100% of AI data center consumption with carbon-free energy by 2035.

• Agreements cover ten projects and suppliers Clearway, Engie, RWE and Scout Clean Energy
• vPPA with RWE for 433 MW from three Panther Creek wind farms in West Texas
• Agreement with Engie North America for 568 MW of wind energy
• Second major Oracle renewables announcement this month after a 2 GW RFP in New Mexico
