Rocket Lab unveils germanium-free IMM Apex solar cells

Rocket Lab has launched Inverted Metamorphic Apex space-grade solar cells made without germanium substrates. The cells are 40% lighter than existing cells in the same class, deliver 31.5% beginning-of-life efficiency and fit existing solar arrays without redesign.
