US lawmakers push bills on AI model theft and AI political ads

Reps. Pat Harrigan and George Whitesides introduced a bill directing NIST to develop voluntary standards against distillation attacks on US AI models and to create an AI Cybersecurity Roundtable. Rep. Shontel Brown proposed labeling AI-generated political ad content and barring AI use to deprive voting rights.
