iPhone Duo problems examined: apps, FaceTime camera and hinge

After a week with the iPhone Duo, Mashable checked the main complaints: the 4MP FaceTime camera is weak for selfies, apps like Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive are not optimized for the inner display, and bugs such as WhatsApp's wrong camera orientation have already been fixed. The hinge and crease look fine so far, but long-term durability can't be judged yet.

• The 4MP FaceTime camera produces plasticky selfies; the 48MP main camera does better
• Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive and TradingView lack Duo-optimized layouts
• WhatsApp camera orientation bugs were fixed by the time of publication
• Hinge wear after prolonged use cannot be assessed yet
