IQM sells second quantum computer to Japan's Toyo
Finnish IQM has sold its second quantum computer, the Spark system, to Japan's Toyo Corporation. It will be installed at Toyo's R&D center in Tokyo, with launch expected in early 2027.
- Spark operates at around 20 millikelvins
- System is designed for universities and research labs
- Five months ago Toyo bought a 20-qubit Radiance computer from IQM
- Japan aims for 10 million quantum technology users by 2030
