Xbox replaces custom backgrounds with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 ads

Xbox has temporarily swapped users' personal dashboard backgrounds for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 promotional art. The takeover cannot be disabled in Personalization settings, and buying the game does not remove it.

• Ads occupy dashboard tiles and override the user's custom background
• The banner cannot be turned off in Personalization settings
• Purchasing Modern Warfare 4 does not remove the ads
• The game tops sales on Xbox and PlayStation, ahead of GTA 6
