RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti prices jump up to $300 in China on GDDR7 shortage
Spot prices for the GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB in China rose from 12,700–13,500 to 14,500–15,000 RMB (about +$300), while the RTX 5070 Ti went from 9,000–9,150 to 9,650–9,850 RMB (+$100). The hikes stem from tighter GDDR7 supply as DRAM makers shift capacity to HBM for AI. Asus and Gigabyte have already raised prices, and a 24 GB RTX 5080 is expected at around 19,999 RMB.
